I made this because nothing else worked.
The story behind Tallow Sanctuary — a small-batch, grass-fed tallow skincare brand born from eczema struggles, deep research, and a genuine love for what's real.
For years, I lived with chronic eczema. Not the kind you can easily conceal — the kind that flared up around my eyes, raw and persistent, no matter what I tried. I cycled through prescription creams, "clean" beauty products, and dermatologist appointments. Something would help briefly. Then it would come back.
I was tired of putting things on my skin I couldn't pronounce. I was tired of wondering if the "gentle" formula I was using was quietly making things worse. So I started researching — really researching — and that rabbit hole led me somewhere unexpected: ancestral nutrition, regenerative farming, and beef tallow.

Tallow — rendered beef fat — was the original moisturizer. Before petrochemicals and synthetic emulsifiers, people used what the land provided. It turns out tallow's fat profile is remarkably similar to the lipids in human skin. It absorbs differently. It works differently. I started making it for myself. Then for my family. Then people started asking what I was using.
Tallow Sanctuary is a family-owned, small-batch skincare line handcrafted in Genoa, Illinois. Every jar starts at a local, regenerative, grass-fed farm — our single trusted source for beef suet. I render it myself. I formulate each product by hand. I label every jar. When you buy from us, you're getting something I made this week, with ingredients I chose because I put them on my own face. Because I do.
This is for the mom who reads every ingredient before it touches her baby's skin. For the person who's tried everything for their eczema and is finally willing to try something real. For the skeptic who just wants to know: does it actually work? We think it does. And so do the people who keep coming back.
Welcome to the sanctuary. There are no shortcuts here — just real ingredients, real care, and a genuine belief that your skin deserves better.
